About Me

Zaynah Smith-DaSilva

As a graduate of Rutgers University with a bachelor's degree in Cyber/Computer Forensics and Counterterrorism, I have a strong interest in the offensive side of cybersecurity and ethical hacking. I have completed multiple courses on Linux, PowerShell, and Azure Active Directory to enhance my technical skills and knowledge.

I worked as a cybersecurity engineer during three internships. I gained valuable experience in networking and automation, public key infrastructure, and secret injection management, working with tools such as Docker, HashiCorp, Kubernetes, and Insomnia. I participated in scrum meetings and biweekly sprints, using Jira to track my progress and collaborate with my team.

I currently work as a SOC analyst at Wix. I investigate various alerts and utilize an abundance of tools including: Crowdstrike, Uptycs, Splunk, Grafana and more. I partake in solid documentation during investigations and utilize Blink to showcase my investigation.

In addition to my professional experience, I enjoy learning and practicing hacking via sources such as TryHackMe, HackTheBox, CTFs, and more. I am currently working on creating various hacking and programming projects to add to my portfolio and showcase my passion and expertise in ethical hacking. My goal is to pursue a career in red team hacking and contribute to the security and innovation of the digital world.
